Organizations

Find and join Organizations, browse Moments, Discussions, and Listings, and open Shop, Fundraising, Donation, Bulletins, or Events from More.

Organizations are group hubs. They sit alongside Networks and Communities for placement and discovery. Shop, Fundraising, and Donation open from an organization’s More menu and are covered in Marketplace. Event flows live under Events.

Who can open Organizations

From the side menu, Organizations is available to verified adults and verified independent minors. Supervised and restricted profiles typically do not see this drawer item. Unverified adults do not get the entry until age verification is complete.

You can also find Organizations from drawer Explore (Organizations tab) or Search, when those surfaces are available for your tier.

Open the Organizations hub

  1. Open the side menu
  2. Tap Organizations

The hub title is Organizations, with two tabs:

  • Member - Organizations you have joined
  • Discover - Organizations you can browse and join

Empty lists show No Organizations yet. Reaching the end of a list can show No more organizations.

Each card shows the organization name plus link or location details. Tap a card to open the organization.

Join an Organization

  1. Open an organization from Discover, Explore, or Search
  2. Tap Join

What happens next depends on how the organization is set up:

  • Open join - if the organization is not private and does not require a code, Join completes without a form
  • ID and/or code - if the organization is private or requires a code, Looma opens Join Organization

On the Join Organization sheet you may see:

  • ID - hint Enter your unique ID (required when the organization asks for an ID; empty field shows ID required)
  • Code - hint Enter the code provided by the Organization
  • Confirm with Join

After join:

  • Success: Success, then You are now a member of the organization name, and Close
  • Failure: Failed, then Failed to join the organization name

Leave an Organization

  1. Open an organization you belong to
  2. Tap Leave
  3. Confirm in the dialog

Leave confirmation title: Are you sure you want to leave [organization name]?

Body: You’ll lose access to the Communities, Posts and Events.

Actions: Cancel or OK.

After leave:

  • Success: Success, then You are no longer a member of the organization name
  • Failure: Failed, then Failed to leave the organization name

Private Organizations

If an organization is private and you have not joined, content stays locked. You still see the header and Join control, plus lock copy:

This is a private community. Join to view its content.

Inside an Organization

When you can view the organization, the header shows the cover, name, member count (for example 12 members), and an info control. The info sheet shows the organization’s description.

Some organizations also show a camera control in the header for a capture flow used by that organization. Follow any ID or instructions the organization gives you.

Content tabs:

  • Moments
  • Discussions
  • Listings

These tabs show content placed on that organization. Creating Moments, Discussions, or Listings and choosing placements is covered in Creating & Sharing. Peer listing sales are covered in Listings.

More sheet

Tap More when the organization has commerce links or you are a member. Items appear only when they apply:

  • Donation - opens the organization’s charity donation surface (when linked)
  • Fundraising - opens the organization’s fundraiser (when linked)
  • Shop - opens the organization’s shop (when linked)
  • Bulletins - available when you have joined
  • Events - available when you have joined

Shop, Fundraising, and Donation use Cart and Checkout. Full steps are in Marketplace:

Bulletins

Members can open MoreBulletins to see that organization’s bulletins (app bar title Bulletins). Empty state: No Bulletins Yet.

Creating or managing bulletins (Add Bulletin, publish, edit) is available to the organization owner on that Bulletins screen, not to every member.

Events from an Organization

Members can open MoreEvents to see events for that organization. Full Events help (RSVP, calendar, create/edit): Events. Create is also summarized in Creating & Sharing.

Organizations, Networks, and posting

Organizations sit in the same placement hierarchy as Networks and Communities. When you create content, Posted to can include an Organization. Posts placed to an Organization stay with that group. Networks still shape what you can discover more broadly. Overview: Communities & Networks.

What changes by age tier

  • Verified adult - Organizations drawer, Explore Organizations tab, join/leave, and More actions when available
  • Verified independent minor - Organizations drawer and Explore; commerce checkout still follows Marketplace age rules
  • Supervised / restricted - Organizations drawer typically hidden
  • Adult unverified - Organizations entry stays locked until verification
