Events

Discover events, RSVP, add them to your calendar, create and manage listings, and open organization or community events.

Events are scheduled gatherings. They are separate from Spaces (live map rooms). Organization Shop, Fundraising, and Donation stay under Marketplace.

Who can open Events

Drawer and rail Events are available to verified adults and verified independent minors. Supervised and restricted profiles typically do not see Events. Creating an event also needs posting access (CreateEvent).

Find Events

  • Drawer or rail → Events
  • Create → Event
  • Explore or Search → tab Events
  • Community or Organization (when joined) → MoreEvents
  • Planner - calendar of events you are attending, plus Create Event

Create an Event

Create → Event (or Planner → Create Event). Four steps:

  1. Create Event - cover (Pick Album, No cover selected)
  2. Basics & Mode - Title, Short description (optional), Details (optional), Online event, Join URL or Location / Venue (optional)
  3. Schedule & Publishing - Date & Time, All day, Status (Published / Draft), Price, External link (optional), Access code (optional)
  4. Audience & Itinerary - Posted to / placements (Add), and optional Itinerary items

Nav: Back, Next, Post. Success: Event created. You need at least one placement. Online events need a Join URL; in-person events need a Location.

Create is also summarized in Creating & Sharing.

Organization and Community events

As a member, open the community or organization → MoreEvents. Owners see Add Event and card actions:

  • Publish now / Unpublish
  • Edit
  • Delete (confirm Delete event?)

Owners can open View join requests / Requests on detail, then Approve or Decline (empty: No join requests).

See also Organizations and Communities & Networks. Community More → Events is for joined adults and independent minors.

Edit an Event

From an owner list, choose Edit. Update title, short info, start/end, all day, status, online vs in-person fields, price, details, cover, placements, and itinerary. Save with Save, or Discard (confirm Discard changes?). Success: Event saved.

Planner

Planner shows attending events by day (Your events, No events on this day) with chrome such as Today, Jump to today, and Create Event. It is a calendar view of Events, not a separate product from this hub.

Bookmarks note

You can bookmark an event from detail. Profile Bookmarks currently lists Moments, Discussions, and Listings only, so bookmarked events may not appear in that hub. See More.
