Open Profile and Settings
From the side menu header:
- Tap your avatar (or name/email) to open Profile.
- Tap the gear icon to open Settings (theme, language, biometrics, and more).
Sign in and sign out
On Sign In, enter email and password. You may also see Login with biometrics after a prior login on that device.
To leave the session, use the logout control in the drawer header, or open Profile → Sign out.
One account per device. If another Looma account was used on this device, you may see a Duplicate Accounts message.
Reset your password
- On Sign In, tap Forgot password?
- On Trouble signing in?, enter your email and tap Reset Password.
- Use the reset message to open Reset Password, set a new password, and return to Sign In.
Verify your email
From Sign In, open Verify account. On Verification, enter the Code from your email and tap Verify. Until an adult account is age-verified, chat, posting, and many social actions stay limited.
Your Profile header
- Tap the avatar (pencil) to edit your profile photo and details.
- Tap your display name (chevron) to open Switch Profile. This is easy to miss. It is not a list tile.
- See @username plus (Private Profile) or (Public Profile).
- Tap View Public Profile to see how your public page looks.
Stats row
When your tier allows it, tap:
- Following / Followers → Connections (hidden for Restricted and Supervised)
- Communities → Communities, Joined tab (hidden for Restricted)
Profile action chips
These shortcuts sit on Profile and open dedicated areas:
- Vouches - list of vouches you have received and given (you can Revoke ones you gave)
- Vouch Code - opens My Vouch Code with a QR for another verified adult to scan in person
- Vouch Scan - camera Scan to Vouch (adult + age-verified only)
- Memories - On this day, This week, Milestones
- Archives - your archived moments
- Medias - My Media library (images and videos)
- Bookmarks - saved Moments, Discussions, and Listings (hidden for Restricted)
- Compilations - create and manage compilations (hidden for Restricted)
Vouching in more detail
When you scan someone, you fill in Vouch for them with Relationship (Friend, Family, Colleague, Acquaintance), how long you have known them, the adult confidence checkbox, and Submit Vouch. Strict rules apply. Screenshot protection stays on while your vouch QR is open.
ACCOUNT section
Below the chips, Profile lists account tools (availability depends on tier):
- My Orders - order history (when marketplace is available)
- Earnings - My Looma Earnings dashboard, ledger, and payout requests (adults). Full guide: Earnings & Payouts.
- Usage - My Looma Usage chart
- Linked Profiles - manage safety levels, promote, or remove profiles (verified adult on the main profile only; hidden on a sub-profile)
- Age verification - card-based check that unlocks chat, posting, and more. Status shows Required to unlock chat, posting and more or Full access unlocked (adults)
- Identity verification - Stripe ID + selfie for earnings payouts. Opens Verify Your Identity with Start Verification / Resume Verification, Refresh status, and Done when finished (adults)
- Pause account - hide your profile and posts; stop messages and notifications. You can come back anytime with Resume (adults)
- Delete account - permanently delete your account (adults)
- Sign out - leave the app session
Two different verifications. Age verification unlocks core social features. Identity verification unlocks earnings payouts. Completing one does not replace the other.
Switch Profile and Add Profile
Tap your display name on Profile to open Switch Profile. You will see the active profile, other linked profiles (with Main / Supervised badges and safety level), and sometimes Add Profile.
Add Profile is only for a verified adult on the main profile. It opens New Profile where you set:
- Handle and Name (“Any name to help friends find you”)
- Age / Safety Tier: Restricted (12–13), Supervised (14–15), Independent Minor (16–17), or Adult (18+)
- At least one Network
- Private Profile (minors stay private)
Then tap Create Profile. Looma switches into the new profile.
Linked Profiles
From ACCOUNT → Linked Profiles (main verified adult), you can:
- Change safety level one step at a time (Restricted ↔ Supervised ↔ Independent Minor), with a Security PIN
- Promote to full account for an Independent Minor (email invite via Send Invite; you can cancel a pending invite)
- Delete profile permanently
Create or reset the 6-digit Security PIN under Settings → Safeguards (Create Profile PIN / Reset Profile PIN). The PIN is required for many linked-profile changes and when switching into supervised profiles.
Edit your profile
From the avatar edit control, open the Profile edit screen. You can change:
- Banner and avatar (camera, gallery, or library)
- Full Name
- Email and Location (adult or independent minor)
- Private Account and Allow Compilation (“Let others feature your photos or videos in their compilations.”) for adults. Minors stay private with compilation off.
Username is shown but not editable. Save with Update Profile.
View Public Profile
Your public page shows banner, avatar, and tabs for Moments, Discussions, and Listings. On someone else’s private account you may see a lock with Request to connect. Overflow actions for others can include Connect/Unfollow, Remove, and Block. Chat appears when you follow each other and your tier allows messaging.
Pause, delete, and scheduled deletion
Pause account hides your profile and posts. While paused, Profile is limited to resume, delete, and sign out.
Delete account asks for your password and the checkbox I understand this cannot be undone. Deletion is scheduled. Until finalization you can Undo from the banner or paused screen (Cancel account deletion).
Settings
Open Settings from the drawer gear for theme, language, backup, messaging, purge, networks, wellbeing, safeguards, and more. Full walkthrough: Settings.
What changes by age tier
- Restricted: no Following/Followers/Communities stats; no Bookmarks or Compilations chips; tightly limited social tools
- Supervised: Communities may show; Following/Followers stay hidden; no Vouch Scan
- Independent Minor: broader discovery; still no adult ACCOUNT tools like Earnings, Linked Profiles, Age/Identity verification, Pause, or Delete
- Adult: full Profile tools; age verification unlocks posting/chat/social; identity verification unlocks payouts; Linked Profiles and Add Profile need a verified main profile
