Earnings is separate from Marketplace. Earnings is about community contribution rewards and profit sharing. Peer listings, shops, fundraisers, and charity donations are under Marketplace.
Open Earnings
On an adult profile, open Profile → ACCOUNT → Earnings (My Looma Earnings). That opens the Earnings Dashboard.
The tile is hidden for non-adult profiles. You can open Earnings without finishing identity verification, but you need verification (and other steps below) before you can withdraw.
How earnings work
From the dashboard info action, open How Earnings Work.
- Make Meaningful Contributions - quality posts and discussions, likes, replies, votes on proposals, feedback or bug reports, helping in comments, inviting friends. Some actions may have cooldowns or quality checks.
- Track Your Progress - points, contribution breakdown, estimated monthly earnings, and rank.
- Get Verified - optional for earning points, required for payouts. Protects against fraud, unlocks multi-device access when applicable, and enables payout options.
- Receive Your Rewards - a monthly rewards pool is shared based on points. You get an earnings summary and can withdraw when set up.
- One Account Per Device - only one account per device; verified users can unlock multi-device access.
Important limits and disclaimers
- Earnings and payouts are not guaranteed. They depend on Looma’s profits.
- Users are limited to a maximum of $500 per month. Top-tier winners must wait 6 months to qualify again for fair distribution and bot prevention.
- Crypto is not currently available. When it exists later, it is intended only for countries Stripe does not support. Today, payouts use Stripe.
- Points may be adjusted if content is removed or flagged. Points reset each monthly cycle.
- Dashboard tip: Remember to take breaks. Contributions count more when they are thoughtful!

- Can I earn without posting? Yes. Replying, liking, voting, and helping others can count too.
- Do I lose points if someone unlikes or I delete a post? Points may be adjusted if content is removed or flagged.
- What if I miss a month? Points reset each cycle. Your impact still matters.

Contribution Breakdown
Shows Total Points This Cycle, tabs by contribution type, remaining daily limits and cooldowns, whether you can perform an action, and individual contribution rows (target, reason, weight, time). Empty state: No contributions found.
Earnings History
Earnings History shows All Time Earnings, plus Base and Weighted totals. Each cycle row lists the month/year, earnings amount, and View Breakdown. Empty state: No Shared Profits.
Financial Ledger
The ledger tracks Looma revenue and expense by month (transparency, not your personal bank statement). Open a month for Revenue, Expense, Net, and entry details. Empty states: No ledger entries yet. / No entries for this month.
Your balance and Request Payout
Open Your Earnings for Current Balance, then Request Payout.
On Request Payout:
- Minimum withdrawal is $20. Under that, you’ll see that you cannot request a payout yet.
- Enter Amount to withdraw or tap Use Max
- Choose Payout Method (Stripe today)
- Optional currency: USD or CAD
- Review Estimated Fees and Net you’ll receive
- Submit Request → confirm Amount / Method / fees / net → Confirm
Success: Payout request submitted successfully!
Set up payout methods (Stripe)
From the dashboard, open Payout Methods.
- Connect or update Stripe Connect for bank payouts
- Status chips can show Connected / Not connected, Verified / Not verified, Payouts enabled / disabled
- Before onboarding, an About Stripe Connect dialog explains that providing details does not register a company, and lists what Stripe typically asks (country, legal name, DOB, address, phone, tax info, bank/debit)
- Set a preferred payout method when Stripe is ready
Crypto address UI is not available right now.
Identity verification for payouts
Profile → ACCOUNT → Identity verification (adults). Opens Verify Your Identity.
Looma verifies identity before enabling earnings payouts. Stripe securely checks a government ID and a selfie.
- Start Verification / Resume Verification

- Statuses can include processing, action needed, incomplete, or verified
- When verified: Your identity is verified. Payouts can now be enabled on your account. Profile may show Full earnings unlocked.
You can earn contribution points before verification. Withdrawal needs verification completed.

Two-factor authentication for payouts
Before payout actions (connect Stripe, change preferred method, submit a payout), Looma requires an authenticator app.
- If 2FA is off: Two-factor authentication required → Set up (or Not now)
- Step-up: Confirm it's you with Password and Authenticator code

Checklist to get paid
- Use an adult profile and open Earnings.
- Contribute thoughtfully and track your score/breakdown.
- Complete Identity verification.
- Enable authenticator 2FA.
- Connect Stripe and enable payouts.
- Reach at least $20 available balance, then Request Payout.
